Ok, Easter is over- Now what?

Make a friend, Be a friend, Bring a friend to Christ.

That's the basic truth isn't it? It is what we are called to do!

Now that the Easter Celebration is over- We look to others to See Christ and to Be Christ.

But why do we do that?

Because during this time , we call Eastertide- we look for Christ to appear all around us!

Just like the disciples did.

After Resurrection Sunday- People in many different places saw Jesus.

To the disciples as they sat at the table Jesus appeared to them and rebuked their unbelief.

They did not believe what they had been told- that others had seen him after He had risen.

(Mark 16:14)

Again on the first day after the resurrection- The disciples had assembled -because they were afraid of the Jews- Jesus stood in their midst and said to them? "Peace be with you"... He showed them his hands and side and then the disciples were glad when they saw themselves.....(John 20: 19-20)

During this 50 days of Eastertide- leading up to Pentecost Sunday( where the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples)- Jesus appeared in many places at many times- I believe there were 10 accounts recorded- but that doesn't in any way mean that's all there were.. Let's also remember that He appeared not just to men- but also to women- who were the first to be told of Jesus resurrection.

So as we today- look on the scriptures- we can know that because of Jesus' gift of the Holy Spirit, and the forgiveness of sins- that each one of us - all who believe and accept Christ as their Savior- Abide in Him and His Spirit abides in us.

So we look to see the Living Christ- in our neighbors, our family, our mentors, our friends, and we seek to also BE Christ- to all we encounter. He LIVES in us! In people who refuse to let evil rule our country, In those who refuse to let Cancer rob them of their Joy, In those in Pain who continue on to enjoy this amazing gift of life that we are blessed with, and in those who even in their deepest sorrows- Look up to the heavens and grieve with hope. Because the price of death and Hell has been paid. There is Hope and Joy in each day- Because Christ can be found everywhere! Lord give us hearts to see....

Seek and you shall find....Knock and the door shall be opened unto you.. Alleluia!!!
