THE FAITHFUL SOUND

The official Newsletter of

JUSTIFYING GRACE CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES CHURCH

(Where ALL Are Welcome In Christ)

NOAH'S FAMILY AND ANIMALS OF THEIR KIND WERE SAVED IN THE LOVING ACT OF GOD IN THAT THEY WERE SPARED FROM DEATH AND GIVEN A NEW BEGINNING.

HOW WILL WE ANSWER THE CALL OF GOD FOR HIS WILL IN OUR LIVES?

*THANK YOU NELDA FRAZIER FOR YOU GIFT OF ARTWORK*

POEMS OF PRAISE!

Heart of Love:

I give the Lord the glory for each day that I'm here-For all because of him – I have breath-

And in that -there is no fear -

For with every little thing I do-I see- He holds the key.....

The key that means the very most- It's love for you and me..

To Love someone is a sacrifice of great and wonderful power

The more you love and give it away- the more it grows within the hour

When you Love that special someone -and give it from the start;

It's an endless love that never quits, like Christ within our hearts.

Don't let your heart grow cold -and shut out the Love of the Lord,

For all He's done for all of us-His love hits every chord

Look at all the love God gives-with creatures great and small;

He loves them all eternally and has giving us the call..

So open up your heart, and let the Savior in-

and your hate will start to melt- and it will begin to heal again.

*THANK YOU ANNETTE BELL FOR YOUR BEAUTIFUL GIFT OF WORD*

COMMUNITY PRAYERS & PRAISES

  • At their private request- please keep the following in prayer: Annette Bell, Bubba Bell, James Norton-( hurt his back- but is at home), Joshua Melke.

  • Prayer requests should be sent directly to me so that I can respond appropriately in a time of need. Thank you.

  • Please continue to remember those on our prayer chain in continued prayer, as well as all church members and their loved ones. I think we could all use prayers for good health and healing. For those in our world that need the loving gift of God's word that they would receive it, and all who suffer with pains only God knows about. And as God leads our family in this calling to grow His Church and bring His Word to others- Please keep Nel and Matt and I in your continued prayers. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayers.

  • Praise-Our oldest son Matthew not only helps maintain the property, and helps around the house while I am not home, He is my also official photographer . Thank you Matthew Couchman for sharing your gift of time and work so we can serve God and do His work ..

  • ( I may see a photo directory in our future).

  • Praise! Nel and I celebrated 12 years together in August..

  • Praise! - I want to thank our Volunteers James and Josh for the full days work they put in to help take down the fencing around our gathering grounds.! It was a hot hot day and I so appreciate the help! Thank you!

Altar Cross-- It was recently brought to my attention that not everyone accepts a cross that displays Christ., therefore please allow me to explain why this is here. The cross that is currently being used on the communion table is one that was special to my mother who was raised Catholic. The crucifix to me does not represent Jesus still on the cross, …....I was raised in a Lutheran Church, and for me the crucifix is a reminder of the price He paid for us- and should remind us all when we see it-that without Jesus and what He did for us- we could not have a relationship with God.. I am thankful to have this beautiful cross in our place of worship and it is important to understand it's proper representation . I am thankful to use what God has provided.

Reminder:We have no electricity and no heat, no water or sewer available in the Chapel so all event are held in weather friendly months -Spring and Fall. Let me know if you are aware of a location near you that would better suit a large group for Worship and Study... Keeping our eye on God's plan for our Church. We need to be ready should God lead us in that direction .

Our Home Church Groups are the heart of our community!

Please invite a friend to come to worship and special services- they may want to join us in May for Bible Study when we start up again!

Special Thanks for the gift of Hospitality! Thank you for all of your kindness and hospitality as we gather for Worship and Study. I want to Especially thank Patty Thompson and Annette& Bubba Bell. Opening your home to us is a gift of tithing in a way that benefits all of us! Thank you for always having a welcoming atmosphere with focus on the time we share.. You are our Hospitality workers! Please consider the future responsibility of greeting new members! Your love and personality shine through in a way that touches the hearts of others. Share that gift.

Reflections from Rev. Lily Winning souls for Christ.........

  • It is said that this is the core of Christianity.

  • But as Christians, do we fail to respond to this urgent and needed call? Do we fall short in our testimony and witness in places where it is desperately needed?

  • Luke 21:34 tells us “Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap.”

  • The disciples knew deep within their hearts that what they toiled and worked for in their lives was not sustaining, and certainly did not lead to eternity. Jesus in his love and passion called out to them- and said” Follow me”.

  • Luke 5:27-39 Jesus called Levi the tax collector to follow him and Levi got up, left everything, and followed him. Then Levi held a great banquet for Jesus at his house - ( a large crowd of tax collectors and others were eating with them).

  • Did Jesus eat with sinners? Yes He did, and when he was rebuked by the pharisees for doing so- He responded in a way that not only opened eyes and hearts- but declared himself the one who heals the sick and cares for his people.

  • Jesus answered them” It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.

  • Sick? You may ask how they were sick? They didn't have the flu, but the sickness they had was one that leads to eternal death not eternal life! Their love for money blinded them and all they could see what was right before them. A horizontal view that would be ever changed by the Vertical seeing of Christ directly into our hearts and minds. Christ let the way and stressed the need and urgency of preaching to the sinner.

  • This is a lesson also for us to hold today- that if the sinner would follow in the ways ( the footsteps) of the Lord, then the Lord will count our faith as righteousness to cover the iniquities, the failures, the stresses, and anxieties – as we change increasingly to be who we are created by our Heavenly Father to be . Our works alone cannot gain our right to enter heaven , but our complete trust in the Lord who came to save sinners- can heal us in ways that we never imagined possible.

  • The sick will be healed, the lame will walk, the blind will see, the broken hearted will find love, the lonely will find peace and fellowship, the jailed will find freedom, and those who carry the chains of burdens, the chains of depression, the chains of suffering and anxiety, those who carry those chains will be released from the bonds of this world and freed in the amazing grace of God- BUT

  • They will never get the message if those of us today who know the truth- never share it with other sinners like us.

  • We are Christians.. They will know us by- Our Love.

  • Luke 21:34 says it best:

  • “ Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap.”

  • How many people do we know this day that are depressed?

  • Anxious? Nervous? How many drink away their sadness?

  • We are expected to give our all each day- never failing- so that when Christ returns, He will find us faithful- and not only ourselves, but those whose lives we touched through his wonder working healing power ! The power- that is only in the precious blood of the Lamb of God.

  • Be aware- Be ready- Be a blessing- and Stay blessed.

Let us keep meeting together as faithful servants- obedient to Christ's teaching in Hebrews 10:25

He is coming soon.... Let's bring others to Christ!

This is our calling as Christians, as a Church, and as faithful keepers of the Word of God. The Sermon on the mount was for us all who accept Christ. Matt:5-7
