The official newsletter of Justifying Grace Christian Ministries Church.

Thank you Nelda Frazier for this wonderful cover decoration!

This month's focus in on our daily prayer life as we explore the different ways

we can give back to God each day. This month- Let us make a point to set

aside special time each day for prayer and devotions. I like to start my day

with a Thankful prayer to God and in doing so- also ask Him to guide me

along the way so that my life can be lived according to His will and not my own.

A word about Missions!!!

Our tithes and offerings go to help in several areas.

  1. We support the Beyond Homeless Shelter. *We have raised 25.00 and have purchased a visa gift card to present to them for purchasing items that the shelter has need of. This woman's only shelter houses women and their children and help support their needs during hard times in their lives. It is our pleasure to help where we can. Every little bit does truly help. Thank you for your donations to this mission!

  2. We also support ( Patricia Pierce) in her volunteer work with the care and spay-neuter for animals. * We have raised 25.00 and have purchased a visa gift card to help her in her calling to help animals. This requires out of pocket money for gas and cages. We are happy to help in her love and care for God's creatures.

  3. Keeping our Church going!!! As you can imagine, the ink for printing our lesson plans, worship service bulletins, newsletters, lessons, certificates and for my continuing Seminary Degree studies- costs are pretty high. Nel and I thankfully put in as much as we can, but your help enables me to continue in my calling.

  4. Christmas Surprise- We will be planning to use the next 25.00 in offering collection to purchase a Walmart gift card for a member of our church at Christmas time. All of the members names will be put in a hat and our son will draw the lucky winner. Nel and I are exempt from the drawing.. Gift card will be sent to the recipient by mail.

  5. All other moneys are collected in the Ministry Checking account - and will be used for the needs of our Church. IF you have any questions about money spending- please contact me personally. Right now gas and ink .. Thank you.

Suggested Daily Prayer:

Father God, Lord Jesus.. Please bless us in our work for you as we strive

to live the calling you set before us. Thank you for the gift of forgiveness and renewal

in the Life giving- Saving-Renewing blood of your son- who died for us, took our sins-

upon himself for us, and made straight the path for us to enter one day into eternity

with you.. Because of you- I am a new person. I no longer live in the ways I used to-

and I am thankful to be called your child. In your Holy Blessed Name I Pray- Jesus Christ

our Lord and Savior.. Amen.

Reflections from Rev. Lily

I know we have said the Lord's prayer,

( Our Father who art in Heaven)......

Because that is how Jesus taught us to pray.

But did you ever wonder-- when Jesus was on

the famous mount of olives- Who did He pray for?

He wasn't praying for forgiveness, He was sinless!

He wasn't praying for a better life, or new shoes,

or to be freed from pain – He knew that pain in

the human body was a temporary condition..

So what did He pray for? Who did He pray for?

And how did God respond to His prayers.

I would like to suggest that Jesus prayed for... US.

When our Lord and Savior was facing death upon the cross

for sins He did not commit. He took our sins upon himself. But rather than to ask God to take away the pain and suffering- He focused His heart-

on the will of the Father. That In Christ's moment of weakness- as He descended to Hell and Suffered for our sins- He paid the price and took our place---sending the power of Satan into a state of chains. When Christ rose from the Dead- With Resurrection POWER- Satan no longer had power over the souls of the lost- Because Christ made a way for us to be faithful and walk in a way that is pleasing to God. We can give our hearts and souls to God- knowing that we have a Mighty Father in Heaven who wins the final round! For God so loved the world- that He gave his only begotten son- that whosoever believeth in Him – should not perish- but have everlasting life.. From the very moment we were formed in our mother's womb- we were loved by God..... Let us share His message of truth and love to those who need to hear it. Let the prayers of Jesus be our own..

Invite others to join us in our worship and study time- so that no one-

would be left- without a prayer.......In His Love............Rev. Lily.

Study Groups!!

I have been so excited with the ways God is working in our groups!!

In July- Bubba Bell of our Terre Haute group-accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was Baptized! Lets continue to encourage her and pray for her faith to grow as she walks daily with the Lord. Pray for all of us to do the same.

The Seven steps to a Biblical Marriage course is available for everyone considering marriage in Justifying Grace Christian Ministries Church. I can't wait to get started!!

Please keep the members and families of our Terre Haute and Greencastle groups in your prayers.

Our Greencastle Group has had a fulfilling completion in our Revelation studies and our Terre Haute group is just beginning theirs.

Now in Greencastle- we are learning to view the Creation story with new eyes, different views and new discoveries into the Word in the Book of Genesis.

I want to personally thank each person in our church for allowing me to grow in Ministry and friendships with you-I cherish our time together as a church family and as we learn God's word together in new and useful ways that change lives. I am truly blessed by our time together and I am so truly thankful for each one of you who has put your trust and hope in the Lord and for trusting in me. I love you all!

Prayer Chapel- I am working on fixing up our cabin and turning it into the Chapel. I intend to paint a mural, add lighting, add a steeple and cross, an alter for prayer, and a place for use to gather for worship. This will take some time. (good prayerful time for me with God.) Please pray that it turns out to be all that God wants it to be. ON THAT NOTE: If anyone has a good old time wooden window to donate – with the glass in tact- I will turn your donation into a faux stained glass addition to the chapel . Email me a photo or contact me on facebook. Thank you!

I am working on the door

  • VOLUNTEERS PLEASE!! I am working on several projects for the Chapel but would really love to have elements included from our members too...

  • Let's decorate the chapel together- in faith and love ….

I would love for us to have a few banners to hang in the church ( Worship, Faith, Hope, Love) etc.., a large standing cross for the communion table, linen cloths for the paraments ( white, purple, gold, green, red)- for communion table, a good runner carpet for the 12 foot isle, silk lillies for easter, and an advent wreath . Maybe keep an eye out at yard sales? Or if you are crafty- maybe you can surprise us with something new! This is OUR church – Let's decorate it with the Sacred and Holy adornments that will glorify God .

  • COPY PAPER!- If you are led to help and are able to buy a regular pack of copy paper-500 sheet- standard 81/2 x 11- they run about 4 dollars at walmart- I could use a little help with the supplies.

  • * This is also considered a tithe and offering! *

  • As a reminder- the chapel is locked when it is not in use and time must be reserved for personal prayer.

  • The chapel is to be kept clean, in order and a sacred place of worship at all times.. Thank you!

OCTOBER THRU MARCH- JUST A REMINDER THAT WE WILL NOT BE MEETING THROUGH THESE WINTER MONTHS BUT WILL RETURN WITH FULL FOCUS AND DEDICATION AS A CHURCH -

ON MARCH 1ST- LENT!

END OF YEAR FELLOWSHIP- PITCH INS !

Construction!!!

What's going on at our house?

We have some renovations being made at our house this month,

and we are blessed to have our niece from Virginia coming to stay

with us for a time. The pastoral care days are open for scheduling!

So let me know if we need to meet on one of those days. Thanks!

I will also be building the ramp for the prayer chapel so that it is

accessible for all of our members.

Terre Haute meets for worship at 2:00 ever other Saturday- with

bible study following.

Greencastle meets for worship at 2:00 every Sunday- with bible

study afterward.

If you would like to have a weekly or monthly worship at the Prayer

Chapel instead of at your home- let me know!

We can fellowship around the campfire after Church and Study!

  • Prayer requests- If you would like ask for the church to pray for someone-

  • please make that known so I can add it to the newsletter, otherwise- personal prayers will be made by myself without publishing them.

  • We have church bumper stickers if anyone is interested! We can order as needed and they 8.00 for one - But I can get 20 for 45.00 - so let me know if you would like to order some so I can order them all together. This would be a great way to spread the word about our groups and invite others to join ! When our groups get bigger- God will provide!

Have a fantastic month church! See you soon! Rev. Lily
