FREE IN JESUS NAME :
With all the love the Lord gives us how can I be so mean, He gives it freely day and night His love is left unseen
I try so hard to follow Him because His love , it is forever,
it's always there to see me through our bond will never sever
But I don't open up my heart that always goes a flutter, I don't understand why I falter but no word do I utter
So now my heart it must be open in order for me to see, that Jesus love is the only answer to really set me free
With open eyes, open mind and definitely open heart, I now can see God's full effect , His love from the very start
So I slowly started to praise the Lord because of all He has done, it's all become so real to me with His victory I have won
So my friend if your wondering you need to listen to me,
by following Jesus with an open heart -
you will find who you're meant to be.

Community Praises and Prayers: .
We celebrated the confession and baptism of our brother in Christ- James Norton- on September 18th- Praise be to God!
Welcome James to the Household of Believers!!
The Season blows in changes of hope ! Praise God!
*From now on- All of our Worship Services will be held in the Prayer Chapel as we have dedicated it as a place to worship our God. We now function as a united church without separate groups! Letting the Lord Lead the way.*
Throw away the old calendar- we have a new plan!
Church calendar of worship and events:
We no longer meet in Terre Haute. But Thank You Annette and Bubba Bell for the generous use of your home .
FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER- THEN CONTINUING ON ASH WEDNESDAY MARCH 1ST- We gather every other Sunday at 2:00 for Worship with Bible study following.
Worship is in the chapel.
Bible study is following worship- and will be held in our living room.
Saturdays will be reserved for Nel and I to meet in our family worship time with her mom.
October 2 and 16- worship and bible study ( Finish Revelation)
October 30- Worship and bible study.
November 13 and 27th
Dec 3rd- Campfire- Carols and Cocoa-weather permitting. We plan to meet in the gathering grounds and sing Christmas carols and have fellowship . This event is from 5pm to 8pm
December 3rd-Campfire- This is our Holiday Celebration time for the church! No other services til March.
We will not meet again until March 1,2017 Ash Wednesday. I will have ashes and communion available from 2:00 to 4:00 for those that would like to take part. Bible Basics study today after worship! Bring your bibles and your open heart to explore what we believe and why we believe what we do as Christians. AFTER the Bible Basics study-We will start at the beginning. Reading in Genesis. Starting with a new focus and understanding of our faith as we dive into God's word.

LENT SERVICES:
MARCH 12 WORSHIP AND BIBLE STUDY, MARCH 26 WORSHIP AND BIBLE STUDY AND SO ON .
SPECIAL DATE TO REMEMBER-April 9th- Palm Sunday Service 2pm
Maundy Thursday- 2:00 service
No services on Good Friday or Holy Saturday- this is a time of self reflection and repentance. Prayer and preparation for the coming Resurrection
SPECIAL DATE TO REMEMBER-April 16th- Easter Sunday Service- 2pm
MISSIONS!!! Praise God!
Scripture tells us that it's always more blessed to five than receive. Christians should always give to the homeless and needy. Proverbs 19:17 says :
Whoever is kind to the poor Lends to the Lord, and He will reward them for what they have done.
Beyond Homeless:
We received a thank you card from Michelle Boller, the executive director at the Beyond Homeless Shelter for women here in Greencastle. Our church donated 25.00 to them .This gift helped them to purchase a file cabinet. This was greatly needed to protect the confidential information of those who use this place of rescue .
Thank you for being cheerful givers and sharing in the missions for our world and unto God.
Reflections from Rev. Lily.
This is an amazing time in the life of our church!
God -in the past five months of us gathering- has made changes in our lives, strengthened our faith, and inspired us in our Spirits to share His Word among others! This is no small thing!
To know that we serve such a loving God who guides us and leads us and never gives up hope for each one of us is a comfort – and promise-that if we are steadfast and strong in our faith- will continue on long past the time our life on earth is done.
We have a mission while we are here. The great Commission.. From Jesus himself.
Jesus, has called his disciples ( and us) , for a very special purpose.
Not just to enjoy His love that He offers- but to share the gospel truth with others so they true can be saved.
The great commission is a call to ACTION! Not just something we read and then forget about!
We are called as a faithful community to GO...
GO and share Gods word to the people or they may never know that they too can go to that mountain top, that holy place, that place they meet the Lord face to face and accept Him into their hearts. It is the desire of our living loving Father God that no one be lost.. No sheep unaccounted for.. But it is our calling- Our desire- our passion and compassion- in our daily responsible faithful walk with God ourselves that will produce the overflowing and outpouring of love from our Spirits that searches out the lonely, the needy, the lost and struggling in our word and with that Loving Holy Spirit working within us- lives WILL be changed. Not changed by the perfect things we do- but Love perfected by Christ who lives within us- making the changes though us as we grow in our faith..
Others will see,, others will want to know-
What is it that you have? What makes you joyful in times of sadness? Where does your faith come from?
It comes from the Lord..
It is a gift of love, and out of Gods amazing love for us and for his Son, He offers a way.... A chance to truly see with the eyes of love- – possibilities-- hope--- joy---
Love finds a way... Leads the way.. and Jesus- Is the way..
the truth and the life...
He is the resurrection and the life, he who believes in him will never die...
